Sarge AI Text Messaging Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply once you've opted in to receive text messages from your post through Sarge AI. Read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1 The program
Sarge AI is an AI phone receptionist built by All Engines Studio, LLC ("we," "us," "our," "All Engines Studio") for American Legion and VFW posts. This texting program sends informational text messages — dues renewal reminders, meeting reminders, and event notices — to individual post members who have opted in. It is not a marketing or promotional program.
2 How you opt in
You are enrolled only after calling your post's phone number (answered by Sarge AI), giving your name, and verbally confirming — a clear, affirmative "yes" — that you'd like to receive these text messages. No one is enrolled any other way today. Once you consent, your post's own designated administrator receives an email confirming your enrollment.
3 Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies with your post's calendar — typically no more than a few messages a month. Message and data rates may apply from your wireless carrier; we do not charge you anything ourselves for sending or receiving these messages.
4 Opting out
Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, or CANCEL to any message at any time and we will remove you from this program right away. Reply HELP to any message for support, or call your post directly. You can also opt out the same way you opted in — by telling Sarge AI on a call.
5 Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your wireless provider's network and is not guaranteed to be delivered on any particular schedule.
6 No liability for message content or timing
Sarge AI is an automated system. We do our best to keep dues, meeting, and event information accurate and current, but we are not liable for a message that arrives late, not at all, or with information that was out of date at your post at the time it was sent. If something in a message seems wrong, confirm it directly with your post.
7 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as this program evolves. If a change materially affects how the program works, we'll update the date at the top and, where practical, let enrolled members know by text.
8 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
